Hey Guys! I figured I’d feature some new products I’ve been using. Some of them are Christmas gifts, and the others items were picked up during the holidays. First I’ll start with my Christmas gifts; my Secret Santa ended up being my best friend, Ashley.
Ashley bought me an 83 Piece Essential Make-up Collection by e.l.f. I have not had the opportunity to play in it yet, but I cannot wait. Ashley and I have been discussing some make-up ideas lately. Especially since I do not wear make-up, and I am transitioning. This was the perfect gift! I will update you on my likes and dislikes.
She also bought me some brushes to go with my new make-up set (All Rolled up! Cosmetic Essential Brush Roll). It includes 7 make-up brushes. It also comes with roll up case so all of my brushes have a place. There are so many varieties of brushes in the set. I’m overwhelmed. So grateful!
I also got two lip sticks. One is a cremesheen lipstick, Pure Zen by MAC, the other is Lasting Finish by Kate, by Rimmel. I wore Lasting Finish on New Years Eve. I loved it.
I haven’t really worn the Pure Zen by MAC, but I did have a chance to try it on. It is a neutral color so it can be used for everyday wear. I have a similar color called LOVE U by Ka’oir.
Marcus bought me a hat from True Religion. It was about $60.00. SUPER EXPENSIVE, if you ask me! It also took forever to get here which was annoying. I am grateful for gifts, nonetheless. 🙂 It is a cute little beanie that I can wear in the cold. I also like the color. I wear too much black so variety is good. Thank you Marcus!
I also made a few purchases for myself over the holidays. I have stuck to my “buy yourself something every month” commitment. Here are few things that I picked up:
I purchased 30ml bottle of Simplicity Hair Oil Blend on their website, www.simplicity-oil.com for $30.50. I looked on the website today and they changed the style of the bottle, but this is the one I received. I’m excited to do another update using this product. This time I think I am going to take pictures until I finish the bottle just to see if I truly produce any results. I’ll keep you posted.
I also picked up the trial size Neutrogena Make-up Remover Cleansing Wipes. I picked them up from Walmart for under $2.00. I really needed them because I’m very pale so mascara is very hard on my eyes. When I wash my face I look scary if I don’t specifically clean under my eyes.
I was in desperate need of face moisturizer. I have a package on the way for an amazing new face product that I am going to try out. It’s not Juice Beauty. ha! You will see. In the meantime, I picked up some Oil-Free Moisture byNeutrogena, SPF 15. Always remember to get moisturizer that has sunscreen in it. Even in the winter it is important to protect your face from sun rays. I don’t particularly like this moisturizer because I think it is too greasy, but it did give me a quick fix.
Moisture, moisture, moisture! It is important to keep your face moisturized. Moisturizer gives you that smooth look that most women want.
One of my co-workers gave me this Organix, Beauty Pure and Simple, Brazilian Keratin Therapy. Some of the keratin infused products can be really hard on your curls. As most of you know I like to wear my hair straight in the winter and curly in the summer. I don’t want to be too harsh on them, so I am hesitant to use it. Summer is coming. Haha! I’ll give it a try soon though.
I was going to list the makeup I use everyday, but I decided to do it in a separate blog. Hence, the items in the top picture that were not featured. I’ll be sure to let you guys know what I am using. Just be aware that I am an amateur when it comes to make-up, but I am determined to work my way up there.
I hope you enjoyed my new goodies and gifts. I will update you guys on any of the products that I use so that you can go out and get them yourself if you want.
Thank you for reading and following <3
